My hard work paid off! I’m not perfect, nobody is. I did lose though! Woo hoo! I’m so happy about it. This proves that you get out of it what you put in. I may have eaten too much twice last week but as soon as I could, I got back down to business of working out and making sure I didn’t gain anything this week to stay on track.
It’s not for everybody. I’m also not trying to say that the gym is a way to punish yourself for overeating, it’s not. I actually enjoy the gym (when not running into old neighbors). I like going, I like exercising, and I will continue. I’ve averaged over 10,000 steps a day the past few days and that’s how I should be. I want to lose this next 32 pounds and keep it off. In order to do that, I need to change my lifestyle. This is NOT a race!
Yesterday on the elliptical I decided I would go longer than my regular (I say regular when I’ve only used the elliptical 3 times before 😂) 30 minutes. I knew I wasn’t going to overdo it at the gym (based on what I told y’all yesterday) but I wanted a good workout. I started off at one hour. About 5 minutes in, I changed the timer to 30 minutes since I was already sweaty and breathing hard (heart rate at 155). When it showed I had 5 minutes left, I switched it to 40 minutes with a 5 minute cool down. I completed 45 minutes on the elliptical! I was very proud of myself for that. I think I might take an outdoor walk today instead of the gym. I may end up at the gym anyway, it’s just a thought!
Today:
I am going to take Mr. 95 year old to get his hair cut. I look forward to seeing him, it’s been another 3 weeks and I miss him! Did I tell you his daughter called me to ask me? I told him I don’t mind doing things for him on weekends, I just don’t want to work at night and need the time to take care of my son. So doing that in 3 hours from now. Then therapy for my son. Then the exercise whether it’s outside or at the gym. Today is supposed to be a beautiful day here so I want to take advantage of that.
I gotta get up and moving. Y’all have a great day! Check out my Instagram!
Thanks for sharing Julie. I’m so proud of you. You’ve inspired me to change my lifestyle as well. I just feel so inspired. I’ve gained some weight this week so I’m going to challenge myself a little more.

I use the health app on the iPhone that goes with my watch and myfitnesspal to track calories which connects to the health app.
