Happy to be home

Our flight took 4 hours. That’s an hour longer than it was supposed to. The entire ride was awful with turbulence. I did get frisked again by TSA but this time I got to see what they saw. All of my excess skin shows up as yellow on their screen. My entire stomach area, legs, and arms. It’s absolutely crazy looking! I told them as I got in the machine that I had all the skin so I only got felt around my legs, they were much nicer than in Houston. It sucks that I will have to deal with this every time, but I have to stay positive that it’s just skin and they are just doing their job. A woman I follow on Instagram said she still has issues with TSA because she has scar tissue where she had her excess skin removed. How crazy is that???

I was sitting at the airport waiting for our flight and I see this guy. At first I thought he went to our church. I looked at him a bit more and it hit me. This is a guy I had known for 20 years in the travel industry! I went on Facebook to be sure I had the right person and then walked up to him. I was right! We got all caught up. He’s working at my last travel job which I found amusing. I told him what I do now and he said that’s a great idea and probably better that I got out of travel when I did. I saved him a seat on the plane and we sat with each other. It was so nice to chat!

Oliver decided to stay in my room last night since I couldn’t pick Amber up until this morning. It took him all night but he finally got into Amber’s treat bag and woke me up at 5:15am munching on them. Crazy cat. So I got around 4 and a half hours of sleep. Whatever. Hopefully I will sleep better tonight.

I only gained 2 pounds on vacation. Whew! I was worried but I guess we were walking around enough to help a little. I am back to keto today. I am not going to gain anymore! I also got a new keto snack in the mail while I was gone so I will be checking it out later. I’m going to try and get my mom to do a review with me. It will get posted to Instagram. They are snack cakes with very few carbs.

We raced home last night because one, we were so late, and two, because there was supposed to be a letter from the school in the mail telling my son where he got into high school. We checked the mail and it wasn’t there. He was so upset! I hope it’s there today. All of his friends were waitlisted to get into the school they wanted but it was a lottery system so who knows what my son got!

I also got 2 calls at the airport. I have 3 interviews set up over the next week! 2 at my gym and one at a nearby Vitamin Shoppe. All part time and all worthy of my time. I’ll keep y’all posted on those!

More later. I am hoping I have postcards in my mail too! If you haven’t sent me one, please do!

  1. Good luck at your interviews and how fun you saw someone you knew from a previous job! That never happens! Even better you didn’t gain any weight especially in Las Vegas! That’s so hard to do! There’s so much temptation, you go girl, good luck to your son with his high school choices I hope he gets the school he wants 😬😬.
