Sorry about this absence. Okay, okay, not really sorry. I’m crazy busy so why should I be sorry for not updating my own blog? Anyway, updates!
Friday:
Took Styled to get her hair done and get groceries. Came home to study. Worked from 5-9pm closing the gym and actually had a good night with my coworkers. Good guys and I enjoyed closing!
Saturday:
Worked from 8am-12pm. Got off late since somebody else was late getting to work. Got to go to the other part of the gym and get on their schedule for today. They have set schedules so I like it! Plus, more hours!
Came home, took my son to the movies with his friends (they saw Shazam – whatever that is), then came home and studied. Picked the kids up 4 hours later, studied more until I passed out.
Today:
Woke up, went to take my Anatomy exam at 10am across town. Probably failed because I don’t think I studied enough. Came home after stopping at the bakery we love and started my new position on the gym floor from 12-6pm. I love it! I got to walk around, show people how to use the gym equipment, and not be tied to a desk. I work there tomorrow as well. Then I go back to the front desk on Tuesday.
When I got home today, my son and his friends were at our neighborhood pool. It was freezing cold in there too so they’re insane (they are teenage boys). I ordered pizza for all of them (5 kids total) and myself. I was starving!
Now I am in bed at 9:30pm because I have school at 8am and work from 10-4. I also have to get groceries and cook food. PLUS I have another exam on Wednesday. It’s another crazy week in the life of Julie.
Lucky decided that he wanted more attention from me and jumped up into my bed. Like not even a running jump, just “Boop” right up here (my bed is about 4 feet off the ground). He’s so silly too!
Astros won today against the A’s. So excited that I got to watch it AT WORK! I had a bunch of people ask me to turn on the game so I did. Hehehe This picture is when we were behind but we came back and won 9-8 so Go Astros!!!
My son and his friends came up to the gym and decided to play racketball and let me take a couple of silly photos of them.
All in all, a great day! I hope yours was as well!
Happy to see you had a fun and productive weekend not to mention the Astros won!

I wouldn’t say “fun” but better than a stick in the eye! Thanks for reading!

I think it’s a good job because it’s close to home so if he needs me, he can walk up there

That is exactly how I like my jobs: near home since my husband’s illness and sharing a car.

I laughed when I read this. Mostly cuz you had no idea what Shazam was. To be fair, it was not one of my favorite TV shows. I much preferred Isis. Probably because she was a teacher who could transform into a demi goddess to help mankind. Shazam was about a boy and I always thought it was a bit juvenile, even when they did crossover the series! (the powers that be did change the name of Isis to ‘Secrets of Isis’.)
It is good you are busy and enjoying yourself!

Interesting! My son said it was DC. Like the comics. I had no idea. Isis sounds interesting as well! Thanks Kris! Good to hear from you!
