Crazy day

I know I told you how much I had to do yesterday. I did not go to the gym since I got up a bit later than I thought I would. I did not get out of bed until 8am and I had to leave at 9. When I did get up, I showed my son how to use the keurig. We have this coffee called Texas Pecan coffee. He put 7 teaspoons of sugar, a 1/4 cup of milk, a few drops of vanilla, and a little cinnamon into his “coffee”. Wow. I don’t think after all that it’s coffee anymore. πŸ˜‚

I went to the podiatrist and got the bad news that I shared yesterday afternoon. Then I took my client to her podiatrist and they cut her toenails and I asked about what my doctor said. The woman says, “I would recommend surgery.” So she asked if I wanted to get a second opinion and I told her who my doctor is. She changed her tune real quick! “Oh! Dr. Parker is the best! I would do whatever he suggested.” Uh huh. I can’t stand doctors that take advantage of people. I’m so glad I have the podiatrist I have. I believe I will take a friends suggestion and ask my chiropractor that I’ve been seeing for my back and if he says to do it through the podiatrist, I will.

Then I went home for an hour and my son was still awake thankfully. We talked, I walked the dog, I relaxed, then I went back to the couple’s house to take them to their audiologist. That took 2 1/2 hours total so I got paid for 8 1/2 hours this week. He gave me $5 over the exact amount and said I can owe him. πŸ™„ I tried to give him the change but NOOOO, he wants credit. No tip or anything, just credit. Geez!

So I came home and made spaghetti for dinner and my son finally went to sleep around 7pm. I did NOT go to the gym. I was so tired! I turned on Netflix and told myself that it’s a good thing I didn’t hit my calorie goal since I didn’t work out.

At 9pm, I decided that I needed to do something. I turned on YouTube and did a 20 minute Zumba video. That kicked my ass! You can tell it did since I burned so much in just 20 minutes! My heart rate stayed pretty good but I was sweating and breathing heavy and burning those calories!

So I hit all the watch goals. Yay! I didn’t go to sleep by 10pm. I started this show called 7 seconds. I’ve only watched the first episode so don’t tell me but that is so sad! Too much can happen in 7 seconds.

Today, all I have to do is take Styled to get her hair and nails done. Then I am off for the weekend. Thank GOD. I’m so tired of everything going on and want a couple of days to relax. I’m even going to try out the gyms sauna. Maybe the hot tub as well. Just have some me time.

Great Wednesday!

The day started like normal. Wake up, shower, run out the door afraid you’ll be late because you have to drive 45 minutes in traffic to get to your dental appointment on time.πŸ˜‚

After the dentist, I stopped at HEB and picked up some eggs and bacon and took off for B’s apartment (my guy best friend) near my dentist’s office. I cooked the eggs, he made the bacon. He wanted toast too so he made himself some. We ate and chatted and then we went to work out in his apartments workout room. The machines were nothing like I’m used to but I was having a good morning so I went with it.

30 minutes treadmill walking and running and 15 minutes on the recumbent bike. I think it was more fun because we were hanging out too. We did a sweaty selfie after and then it was time for me to go home. 😒

The CPA came by the house and we got all of my paperwork in order and he’s going to do my taxes for me within the next week. I hope to god I don’t owe anything this year! I worry since I got a 1099 from a client plus sold the condo and car this past year.

I relaxed for an hour at home and then left to take Mr. 95 year old to dinner. Mr. Happy came with him too! How exciting! This man is always happy and when he seems grumpy, I can tell a silly joke and he gets happy again. I waited for them, took them home, got paid, and got home and went to bed.

Today is hell day. I have a podiatrist appointment at 9:40 and have to be at the couples at 10:30 for the rest of the day. I say hell because they have 2 different appointments plus they want to go out to eat (of course). It’s difficult for one person to handle them both in and out of the car, especially multiple times. Oh well. I need to make money!

I can’t wait for the day to be over already. I’m thinking of waiting to work out until after I am with them in case I am frustrated and need to get it out. I’m afraid I will be too tired to work out after being with them all day too. πŸ™„

I had 5 calories left last night. That’s cutting it a bit close!

My son stayed up all night on Tuesday night and yesterday went to bed around 11am. He woke up at 10pm complaining that I shouldn’t have let him sleep so long and said now he will be up all night because he slept so much. I just looked at him and told him to never speak to me like that and maybe he should leave and start over. He did and I wasn’t really listening to him anymore. That upset me. It’s not MY fault you stayed up all night or slept all day!

Another busy day today!

Yesterday was good. I took Styled to her dentist, the husband of the couple to the grocery store, and the couple to dinner. I ate well although no veggies. I ate exactly my amount of calories.

I went to the gym and worked out for 30 minutes on the stationary bike between jobs. I text my neighbor that I was going earlier than I thought because of jobs. She said that was okay because she was working late anyway. So that worked out.

I just wanted to burn some calories but I guess I am really getting in shape because on a level 6, I didn’t burn too much! I would usually burn twice that! Maybe there’s something wrong with my watch? I have no clue.

At dinner while I waited on them to eat their Chinese food, I took this picture. There were so many birds in the parking lot!

BFF is vacationing in Missouri and took her kids to the celebrity car museum. It looks like they had a great time. She sent me a picture of Wayne’s World car too! So much fun!

Today I go back to the dentist and to the chiropractor. Then the CPA is coming to do my taxes. Then I have to take Mr. 95 year old to dinner. When he called me, he asked if I could take them. Umm, sure? I wonder who “them” will be? Miss Pride? Mr. Happy? I’ll take them all!

Yesterday was a good day. I took Cranky to her doctor and we then went to lunch at Los Tios where we both had a taco. We were gone for 2 hours and whatever her caregiver was doing while we were gone, she didn’t get to finish. She thought we had gotten the food to go because we were back from the doctor visit (took 10 minutes total), lunch (45 minutes total), and the pharmacy (drive through) in 2 1/2 hours. I then talked to her son via text for a while and relaxed at home.

My son had scheduled a visit with the trainer at 4:30 and told me that he couldn’t remember what the guy looked like. πŸ™„ He asked me to go with him to point the trainer out. Well, I was going to the gym today anyway so sure! We walked in and I got them talking about my sons goals and off I went to do some cardio.

I started on the elliptical. After 10 minutes, I kept coughing so I finally got off and decided to go biking on the stationary bike (I swear Todd, my gym needs that really cool one you use with the biking trails). I did 15 minutes on the bike before I started coughing like crazy again!

Please note that I am drinking water as well and would cough MORE when I did. So I went to the treadmill thinking walking would be easier for me.Nope! Coughing like crazy AGAIN after 15 minutes and purposely made myself walk one mile! Geez! So I quit and used the restroom and checked out the sauna but only had my tennis shoes so I couldn’t go in plus can you even take a phone in there? I’m not sure if that’s a good idea and I didn’t have anywhere to put it. If you know, please tell me! Then I checked on my son and the trainer and they were working hard so I decided to do 5 more minutes on the elliptical so I would have a total of 45 minutes of exercise today.

When I was done, I went to tell my son I was leaving but they were finished. My son started walking home and I talked to the trainer to let him know about my back. He took time to go with me to the mats and show me what stretching exercises will help the chiropractor and myself get me healed faster. He is awesome. We did that for about 15 minutes and then I walked home feeling happy.

I didn’t cook yesterday. I just didn’t feel like it. I have to take Styled to her dentist this morning. This afternoon the husband of the couple asked me to take him to the grocery store since I couldn’t last week. Umm, why didn’t you have one of your caregivers go for you??? That’s fine, I need the money. Then tomorrow evening I will be taking them to their regular Tuesday dinner. Busy day for me!

My neighbor also asked me to meet her at the gym to work out in the afternoon between groceries and dinner. I hope I have time! She’s really sweet! Her kids are with their dad for spring break so she is free other than work times so that’s good that she and I get to go hang out and do something we both like that doesn’t involve food.

Calories were good yesterday too! I can and will be the best that I can be!

I also looked at the past 2 weeks to see the difference between me being sick and not doing much and going to the gym. Remember I went over my calories at least one day a week because of having a cheat meal. Here is the difference between working out and being sick.

See how working out totally helps??? I love myfitnesspal for logging my food daily and so appreciate these charts weekly. And that’s on the free plan! I highly recommend it if calorie counting will help you get to your goals.

Sunday screw up

Well, I had a cheat meal last night and boy it was yummy! I went 700 calories over but it’s only one day and only one meal. That doesn’t deter me from working on this plan. I can definitely come back from that this week. I also didn’t go to the gym although I did get 30 minutes of exercise in somehow. I had 3 minutes left to make my exercise goal last night so I decided to walk around upstairs to finish it and hit all of my goals for the day. I was walking and bumped my left arm on a door handle. It hurt but I didn’t think much of it until I went back in my room and happened to check it.

Yep, I did that. Damn thin skin! So I wrapped it up using a gauze pad and an ace bandage around it and of course when I took it off this morning the gauze pad pulled off and I bled a bit more. I’m fine, it just sucks to look at and I’m sure I’ll have to answer questions from everybody.

Today I have to take Cranky to see her doctor. That’s it. I will be at the gym later. I was going to do it this morning but I woke up at 7 to my last alarm and don’t feel like showering twice (once before and once after) when I take her at 11.

I am tired today too. I blame the time change. I will get used to it by the time we change again in November. Even the dog is still asleep. I wish I was.

Busy Tuesday?!?

First off, let me start by telling you that since this illness didn’t hit me until mid afternoon, I was able to get near my calorie intake of the day. I didn’t feel like eating but I made sure I did. I also did not go to the chiropractor or gym.

As you can see, I did not exercise either.

I rested. Today I don’t feel good (same symptoms as yesterday) but I have a crazy busy day!

9am: Call Cranky dentist to make next appointment.

10am: podiatrist – I have been avoiding going back because I’m broke. I have to go back though.

11am: couple – take the wife of the couple to the doctor.

6pm: take couple to dinner. What I’m hoping for is that the couple would decide to just go out to lunch since we will already be out and that way I don’t have to go and take them to dinner.

I’m thinking I should probably wear a mask because what if I am contagious? I’m also going to take DayQuil. I took NyQuil last night and still didn’t fall asleep until 11. I took it at 8:30 too! I don’t have time to be sick. I just don’t.

Is it a cold or pollen? It rained last night and all the pollen pooled so I’m not sure.

Yet again, it’s Motivational Monday

Yesterday I actually did NOT go over my calories. I think this was the first Sunday in a month that I didn’t!

I also did arm weights at home using my 5 pound handheld weights for 15 minutes to make sure I hit my 30 minutes of exercise for yesterday. I did not go to the gym since I was cooking and cleaning. I didn’t even hit 10,000 steps but that’s okay for a rest day. I still hit all of my daily goals from my watch. Go me!

I am VERY determined to get where I want to be. I’m not trying to go run a marathon, I want to be able to go up stairs without huffing and puffing. I want to be able to walk around this park here that has a 3 mile track (anyone on WordPress in Houston please feel free to contact me and go walk with me – I won’t go alone). I want to keep up with my child when he’s taking off on me.

Today, I am taking Cranky to her dentist and then need to drive down to see my chiropractor again. My back really started hurting again last night and this morning. It was probably the weights. I only used 5 pound ones though!!!

My ground beef wasn’t thawed so I will be making my meatloaf muffins tonight. I didn’t like the chicken very much. Maybe I can douse it with ketchup, like a chicken strip. I will also go do cardio at the gym. Maybe the bike or maybe the elliptical. We shall see!
